A SureSave policy covers you for emergency dental treatment when you're on your trip overseas. If you get a toothache while you're away you'll be covered up to $1000 per person. Emergency dental treatment is available to anyone on your policy, including children.
Emergency dental cover is limited to $1000 per person per trip for treatment to relieve sudden and acute pain due to an infected or broken natural tooth, which is otherwise healthy. For example, while you are in Thailand you bite into some chicken satay and a nut causes your filling to come out along with part of your tooth. The policy covers you up to $1000 to see a dentist, relieve pain and put in a new filling but it won’t cover the costs to have a crown.
What's not covered?
• cosmetic dentistry or dentistry using precious metals
• dental treatment because of a pre-existing medical condition
• dental costs in Australia. Even if your dental treatment overseas was covered by your policy, Australian health legislation prevents us from reimbursing medical and dental treatment costs in Australia as we are not registered to do so.
